Hank Carr joined the federal Public Service in 1989 as a dBase III programmer at Fisheries and Oceans Canada. He moved to Correctional Service Canada in 1991 as a System W programmer and Executive Information System Administrator. With Corrections he has performed the roles of developer, system administrator, LAN administrator, WAN administrator, Chief Network Facilities, Chief Network Security, Manager Network Services, and Senior IT Security Analyst. During a two year sabatical he did contract work for Department of National Defence and Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. In his spare time he has developed Continuing Medical Education programs and educational programs for children in Macromedia Director. Mr. Carr's resume is available online and in PDF form.
Hank and his wife Anita designed and with the help of daughter Melissa, family and friends, and volunteers built a beautiful though unfinished two storey load bearing straw bale home in Spencerville, Ontario. Hank and Anita have been members of the Ontario Straw Bale Building Coalition since it began in 2003. Hank served as the Membership Coordinator (2003-2006) and Vice President (2004-2006) of the Coalition and is well known and active in straw bale construction in Ontario. Hank and Anita run a series of well attended and well received straw bale construction workshops in eastern Ontario
