

Introduction to Straw Bale Construction Menu
The ladies of the church will be doing the cooking with Anita's assistance
so you should let her know about any dietary preferences, allergies, etc. We
prepare both vegetarian (often vegan) and non-vegetarian dishes for most meals
and can accomodate most food allergies. (The cooking at last year's workshop
was a big hit.) We cannot accomodate requests for diets based on religious requirements
(Kosher, Halal, etc.) so if that is a factor please be prepared to make other
arrangements.
This menu has been created to sustain everyone while they are working very hard
all weekend. Please note that fresh fruit and some snacks and water will ALWAYS
be available in the dining room should anyone require sustenance at any time
other than those noted below. There will be some room in the fridge at the church
for your food and drinks.
If there are any allergy/tolerance issues with this menu, or just questions about ingredients, please email me ASAP so that I can make accommodations where necessary. Please note we have a PEANUT and FISH/SEAFOOD free kitchen (but we will be offering some granola bars that have peanut butter in them trusting that everyone will be cautious and wash up after eating them).
FRIDAY
Evening Snack - banana bread

SATURDAY
Breakfast - crock pot dried fruit & nuts with barley (like porridge)
- yogurt
- coffee, tea, juice, water, milks (soy & dairy)
AM Snack - whole grain granola bars
- apple sauce
- cheese
- juice, water
Lunch - vegetarian tamale pie (beans & veggies with cornbread topping)
- green salad
- juice, water, milks
PM Snack - veggies & dip
- cheese & whole grain crackers
- juice, water
Supper - potato and chicken curry (mild)
- rice
- steamed vegetables
- coffee, tea, juice, water, milks
Desert - pumpkin pie with whipped cream
SUNDAY
Breakfast - zucchini & ham quiche
- whole grain toast (jam & almond butter available)
- fresh fruit salad
- coffee, tea, juice, water, milks
AM Snack - dried fruit, nut & cereal bars
- fresh fruit

Lunch - spaghetti with meat/tomato sauce
- 4 bean salad

Supper - walnut burgers
